The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5, released in late September 2025, features a retractable laser navigation system, a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop function, and an intelligent self-cleaning docking station. It is designed to offer a powerful and automated cleaning experience with minimal user intervention.
Powerful cleaning
High suction power: With a powerful fan blower that generates up to 20,000 Pa of air pressure, the vacuum effectively removes dust, particles, debris, and pet hair.
Dual-action cleaning: The Robot Vacuum 5 performs simultaneous vacuuming and mopping. After vacuuming, it automatically mops the floor to remove any remaining dust and dirt.
Extendable brushes: Extendable side brushes and mop pads can reach deep into corners and edges, ensuring thorough cleaning.
Anti-tangle technology: Both the main and side brushes feature technology to reduce hair entanglement, with the main brush including dual blades that trim hair as it cleans.
Smart navigation
Retractable laser navigation: The dToF Smart Retractable Radar allows the vacuum to automatically lower its navigation module when it encounters low-clearance areas. This allows it to clean under furniture as low as 9.5 cm.
360° real-time scanning: Cutting-edge laser navigation performs a full scan of your home to create a detailed map and plan efficient cleaning routes.
Advanced obstacle detection: Using S-Cross™ structured light, the vacuum can identify and avoid obstacles in real-time. It can recognize over 200 common items, such as footwear and cables.
Carpet detection: An ultrasonic floor sensor automatically detects carpets and lifts the mop pads by up to 15 mm to prevent wetting. The device can be set to avoid carpets entirely or to increase suction power for deeper cleaning.
Automated maintenance
Self-cleaning base station: The vacuum automatically returns to its all-in-one dock for automatic dust collection and mop pad washing.
Hot-water mop washing: The dock washes the mop pads with water heated to up to 80°C to quickly lift stubborn stains.
Hot-air mop drying: After washing, the mop pads are rapidly dried in as little as two hours to prevent mold and odors.
Automatic dust collection: After cleaning, the vacuum automatically empties its dustbin into a large 2.5L dust bag in the dock, which only needs to be replaced about once every 75 days.
Smart connectivity
Xiaomi Home app control: You can control the vacuum remotely, set cleaning schedules, define no-go zones, and more through the Xiaomi Home app.
Voice assistant support: The device is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for hands-free voice control.
